NEW HAMPSHIRE STATE POLICE SAY A 47-YEAR-OLD MASSACHUSETTS MAN WAS PRONOUNCED DEAD LATE SUNDAY AFTERNOON ON CANNON MOUNTAIN IN FRANCONIA.

SGT. DENNIS WADE OF TROOP F IN TWIN MOUNTAIN SAYS TROOPERS, LITTLETON AMBULANCE AND LITTLETON REGIONAL PARAMEDIC RESPONDED SHORTLY AFTER 4:30 P.M. AFTER A REPORT OF AN UNRESPONSIVE SKIER ON A SKI LIFT.

WADE SAYS THEY FOUND JOHN DENAPOLI OF LUNENBURG ALONE ON A LIFT BUT COULD NOT REVIVE HIM.

DENAPOLI HAD BEEN SKIING WITH FRIENDS AND FAMILY DURING THE DAY.

WADE SAYS HIS DEATH IS NOT CONSIDERED SUSPICIOUS AND IS NOT BEING INVESTIGATED AS SKIING-RELATED BECAUSE THERE’S NO EVIDENCE OF A SKI-RELATED INJURY OR ACCIDENT.

THE NEW HAMPSHIRE MEDICAL EXAMINER’S OFFICE ALSO RESPONDED.

WADE SAYS AN AUTOPSY WILL BE CONDUCTED BECAUSE OF THE CIRCUMSTANCES AND AGE OF THE VICTIM.
