WHITE MOUNTAIN MUSICAL ARTS INVITES THE PUBLIC TO ATTEND THE 6TH ANNUAL MEMORIAL WEEKEND CONCERT FEATURING THE SEACOAST WIND ENSEMBLE SUNDAY, MAY 27 AT 7:30 P.M. AT FRYEBURG ACADEMY’S LEURA HILL EASTMAN PERFORMING ARTS CENTER, BRADLEY STREET, FRYEBURG, MAINE. THE CONCERT IS FREE BUT DONATIONS CAN BE MADE TO WHITE MOUNTAIN MUSICAL ARTS.

MONDAY, MAY 28

MEMBERS OF AMERICAN LEGION POST 46 IN CONWAY WILL PARTICIPATE IN THE FOLLOWING EVENTS:

8 A.M. – HONOR GUARD MARCH AT THE FOOT OF THE LYMAN CEMETERY ON HIGH STREET MADISON TO THE CEMETERY. PRAYER, TAPS, GUN SALUTE AND PLACEMENT OF FLAG ON HEADSTONES OF ALL VETERANS.

8 A.M. TO 9 P.M. – OLD HOME WEEK COMMITTEE BREAKFAST AT THE MADISON FIRE STATION

9 A.M. – MADISON MEMORIAL DAY PARADE, HONOR GUARD MARCH FROM THE MADISON CHURCH TO THE MADISON CEMETERY ON EAST MADISON ROAD. LEGION RIDERS (MOTORCYCLES) WILL RIDE IN THE PARADE. PRAYER, TAPS, GUN SALUTE AND FLAG PLACEMENT ON THE HEADSTONES OF ALL VETERANS.

11 A.M. – HONOR GUARD, PRAYER AND GUN SALUTE AT THE MEMORIAL AT KENNETT MIDDLE SCHOOL IN CONWAY. EXCHANGE OF FLAGS AT THE FLAG POLE.

11:30 A.M. – VISIT WITH VETERANS AT GREENBRIER HOUSING ON WASHINGTON AVE. IN CONWAY

NOON – MEMORIAL SERVICE AT THE CONWAY CEMETERY OFF WASHINGTON AVE., CONWAY. GUN SALUTE.

1 P.M. – VISIT WITH VETERANS AT MINERAL SPRINGS CARE AND REHABILITATION FACILITY, ROUTE 16 CONWAY.

MOULTONBOROUGH – PARADE STARTS AT 10 A.M. MONDAY AT BLAKE ROAD, PROCEEDS TO ROUTE 25 TO TOWN HALL. VETERANS WILL RIDE IN THE TROLLEY PROVIDED BY CASTLE IN THE CLOUDS. WREATHS WILL BE PRESENTED AT BLAKE ROAD, THE HISTORICAL SOCIETY AND THE PUBLIC LIBRARY. THE CEREMONY AT TOWN HALL WILL HONOR THE TOWN’S 18 VETERANS FROM VARIOUS CONFLICTS.

IN MAINE, VFW POST 6783 WILL HOLD A SERVICE IN LOVELL VILLAGE STARTING AT 10:30 A.M. MONDAY. MEMBERS WILL THEN ASSEMBLE AT THE LEGION HALL ON BRADLEY STREET IN FRYEBURG AT 12:15 P.M. FOR THE 1 P.M. PARADE START. THE PARADE WILL PROCEED DOWN MAIN ST. TO BRADLEY PARK, WHERE A MEMORIAL SERVICE WILL FOLLOW.
