MEMORIAL DAY SERVICES HELD IN VALLEY AND WESTERN MAINE

THE SOUND OF RIFLE VOLLEYS AND THE PLAYING OF TAPS COULD BE HEARD AROUND THE VALLEY AND WESTERN MAINE MONDAY AS PEOPLE GATHERED AT MEMORIAL DAY CEREMONIES TO REMEMBER THE NATION’S WAR DEAD.

NORTH CONWAY’S AMERICAN LEGION POST 95 AND BARTLETT VFW POST 5386 TEAMED UP TO HOLD CEREMONIES IN JACKSON SOUTH TO NORTH CONWAY – WHILE CONWAY’S AMERICAN LEGION POST 46 HELD VARIOUS EVENTS IN CONWAY SOUTH TO MADISON.

CEREMONIES AND A PARADE WERE ALSO HELD IN LOVELL AND FRYEBURG, MAINE.

IN HARRISON, MAINE A FEW HUNDRED PEOPLE TURNED OUT IN THE BEAUTIFUL CLEAR WEATHER TO REMEMBER FALLEN VETERANS. THE CEREMONIES INCLUDED A WREATH LAYING IN LONG LAKE TO REMEMBER NAVY SERVICEMEMBERS WHO MADE THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE.
