MEREDITH WOMAN DIES AFTER SUNDAY CRASH

NEW HAMPSHIRE STATE POLICE SAY A 45-YEAR-OLD MEREDITH WOMAN HAS DIED AFTER A SPORT UTILITY VEHICLE CRASH ON ROUTE 25 IN SANDWICH SUNDAY AFTERNOON.

TROOPER MALLORY LITTMAN OF TROOP E IN TAMWORTH SAYS SHERRI LEWIS WAS DRIVING WESTBOUND ON WHITTIER HIGHWAY SHORTLY AFTER 12:30 P.M. WHEN THE SUV SHE WAS DRIVING LEFT THE ROAD, CAME BACK ONTO IT AND THEN ROLLED OVER, EJECTING HER AND HER PASSENGER, 41-YEAR-OLDROBERT GUIDI, ALSO OF MEREDITH.

BOTH OCCUPANTS WERE AIRLIFTED TO DARTMOUTH HITCHCOCK MEDICAL CENTER, WHERE LEWIS LATER DIED OF HER INJURIES.

GUIDI WAS LISTED IN SATISFACTORY CONDITION TUESDAY MORNING.

LITTMAN SAYS STATE POLICE WERE ASSISTED AT THE SCENE BY POLICE DEPARTMENTS FROM TAMWORTH, MOULTONBOROUGH AND SANDWICH, SANDWICH FIRE RESCUE AND THE STATE POLICE TECHNICAL ACCIDENT RECONSTRUCTION UNIT.
