MISSING CONWAY TEEN LOCATED, RETURNED TO FAMILY, THEN ARRESTED

CONWAY POLICE SAY A MISSING CONWAY 17-YEAR-OLD HAS BEEN ARRESTED AFTER BEING REUNITED WITH HIS FAMILY MONDAY.

DETECTIVE SGT. AL BROYER SAYS DALTON J. BLAKE, WHO HAD LAST BEEN SEEN AT KENNETT HIGH SCHOOL TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 28TH, WAS LOCATED LATE MONDAY AROUND 11:30 P.M. WALKING ALONG ROUTE 16 IN OSSIPEE.

BLAKE WAS RETURNED TO HIS FAMILY LATE MONDAY NIGHT. TUESDAY HE ALLEGEDLY LEFT HIS FAMILY’S HOUSE WITHOUT PERMISSION ABOUT 9 A.M.

POLICE WERE CALLED AND AN OFFICER LOCATED BLAKE WALKING ON WILDER STREET IN CONWAY. BLAKE ALLEGEDLY SCUFFLED WITH THE OFFICER AND HE WAS ARRESTED AND CHARGED WITH RESISTING ARREST OR DETENTION.

HE WAS THEN TAKEN TO THE POLICE DEPARTMENT TO WAIT FOR A HEARING. WHILE THERE, HE REPORTEDLY SUFFERED A MEDICAL INCIDENT DURING THE EARLY AFTERNOON.

HE WAS TAKEN TO MEMORIAL HOSPITAL, WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED HE DID NOT SUFFER ANY INJURY. HE WAS THEN RETURNED TO THE POLICE DEPARTMENT TO WAIT FOR A BAIL HEARING.

BROYER SAYS HE HAS NO FURTHER DETAILS ABOUT WHERE BLAKE WAS OR WHAT HE WAS DOING THE WEEK HE WAS MISSING.

CONWAY POLICE INTERVIEWED A 17-YEAR-OLD GIRL IN EAST CONWAY SATURDAY MORNING DESCRIBED IN THE POLICE LOG AS BLAKE’S GIRLFRIEND.

THE GIRL’S MOTHER THOUGHT HER DAUGHTER MIGHT KNOW WHERE BLAKE WAS BUT THE LOG INDICATES THE GIRL WAS NOT COOPERATIVE, DESPITE AN OFFICER HAVING A LENGTHY CONVERSATION WITH HER.
