N. CONWAY MAN CHARGED WITH DEALING DRUGS

CONWAY POLICE SAY A 24-YEAR-OLD NORTH CONWAY MAN IS CHARGED WITH TWO FELONY COUNTS OF SALE OF CONTROLLED/NARCOTIC DRUGS AFTER HIS ARREST LATE LAST WEEK.

DETECTIVE SGT. CHRIS MATTEI SAYS ZACHARY SCOTT HANSON OF WHITE MOUNTAIN HWY. WAS ARRESTED SHORTLY BEFORE 3 P.M. FRIDAY, SEPT. 20, 2013 AFTER AN INVESTIGATION THAT WAS STARTED EARLIER IN SEPTEMBER.

MATTEI SAYS THE ARREST CAME AFTER AN INVESTIGATION INTO INFORMATION PROVIDED BY A CONFIDENTIAL INFORMANT. HANSON FACES A POTENTIAL PRISON TERM OF 15 YEARS ON EACH FELONY CHARGE. POLICE ALLEGE HE WAS SELLING PRESCRIPTION DRUGS.

HANSON IS ALSO CHARGED WITH A MISDEMEANOR OF POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED/NARCOTIC DRUGS, FOR ALLEGEDLY HAVING A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF MARIJUANA.

MATTEI SAYS HANSON IS CURRENTLY OUT ON BAIL ON A DRUG POSSESSION CHARGE IN BELKNAP COUNTY.

HANSON WAS DUE TO APPEAR IN CONWAY DISTRICT COURT MONDAY AFTERNOON.
