N. CONWAY MAN FALLS ASLEEP WHILE COOKING

THE NORTH CONWAY FIRE CHIEF SAYS A NORTH CONWAY MAN’S APARTMENT FILLED WITH SMOKE EARLY WEDNESDAY MORNING AFTER THE MAN FELL ASLEEP WHILE COOKING POTPOURRI.

PAT PREECE’S FIREFIGHTERS WERE CALLED TO THE LOFTS AT 1857 WHITE MOUNTAIN HIGHWAY AROUND 2:30 A.M. IN THE MORNING.

PREECE CREDITS A WORKING SMOKE ALARM WITH WAKING THE MAN UP AFTER THE POT COOKING THE CONCOCTION BURNED DRY AND STARTED SMOKING.

NO ONE WAS HURT.

FIREFIGHTERS VENTILATED THE SMOKE FROM THE APARTMENT AND RESET THE FIRE ALARM.

THEY CLEARED THE SCENE ABOUT 3 A.M.
