Name Of Alabama Man Who Drowned In Ossipee Released

Ossipee, NH – The name of the Alabama man who drowned in a lake in Ossipee has been released. According to the New Hampshire State Marine patrol 64-year-old Eric Stokes of Birmingham, Alabama was out on Duncan Lake when his kayak capsized. The boat and Stokes were discovered at around 10 am Sunday by a good Samaritan. The good Samaritan and responding police helped recover the man from the water and began CPR and lifesaving techniques however they were unable to revive him. After an autopsy the State Medical Examiners Office ruled the cause of death as a drowning.
