A CHURCH IN NORTH CONWAY IS TRYING TO RAISE MONEY TO SEND ITS YOUTH GROUP TO A NATIONAL YOUTH GATHERING IN NEW ORLEANS NEXT SUMMER.

AS PART OF ITS EFFORT TO RAISE ABOUT $15,000 TO SEND A DOZEN MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS AND 2 ADULT CHAPERONES, THE NATIVITY LUTHERAN CHURCH IN NORTH CONWAY IS HAVING A BENEFIT AUCTION SATURDAY AFTERNOON.

CHURCH CO-PASTOR TIM ROSER SAYS REACHING OUT TO THE COMMUNITY AND SERVING OTHERS IS PART OF THE CORE VALUES OF HIS CHURCH.

THE CHURCH YOUTH GROUP RECENTLY TOOK PART IN THE VALLEY’S “NEIGHBOR TO NEIGHBOR” DAY, HELPING SENIORS AND OTHER PEOPLE BY RAKING THEIR YARDS AND DOING MAINTENANCE PROJECTS AT THEIR HOMES.

SATURDAY’S EVENT AT THE CHURCH – LOCATED AT THE CORNER OF ROUTE 16 AND GROVE STREET IN NORTH CONWAY NEXT TO THE GIBSON CENTER – STARTS AT 3:30 P.M.

IT WILL INCLUDE A TEA CUP AUCTION WHERE TICKETS WILL BE DRAWN FROM TEA CUPS – AND A SILENT AUCTION.

ROSER SAYS HE’S OVERWHELMED BY THE SUPPORT THE CHURCH HAS GOTTEN FROM LOCAL MERCHANTS AND ORGANIZATIONS WHO HAVE DONATED ITEMS AND PRIZES.

THE EVENT ALSO INCLUDES A HOLIDAY CONCERT AND CAROL SING. FOR MORE INFORMATION, CALL (603) 662-2081.
