Conway, NH – We’ve all watched it form from the ground up and the time has finally arrived for the new North Conway Community Center facility to be introduced to the people it will be serving.
The $1.42 million dollar building was funded with the help of nearly 300 donations and built by L.A. Drew Inc. of Intervale. The building located off of Route 16 right next door to Schouler Park will be home to a middle school sized basketball court with all purpose flooring, two multipurpose rooms, a weight room, kitchen, offices and accessible rest rooms.
The old community center built in the 1950’s will not be forgotten; it will still serve as a needed overflow space for various groups with the possibility of gradually being upgraded in the future.
The Grand opening is open to the public and will take place this Saturday (November 14th) at 11 a.m. For additional information contact Ryan Sommer at (603) 356-2096.
