NHSP ARREST TAMWORTH MAN AND FORMER GIRLFRIEND

NEW HAMPSHIRE STATE POLICE SAY A 63-YEAR-OLD TAMWORTH MAN AND HIS FORMER GIRLFRIEND WERE ARRESTED AFTER THE WOMAN ALLEGEDLY HID THE MAN IN A CRAWL SPACE IN HER HOME AND WAS UNCOOPERATIVE WITH TROOPERS.

TFC JOHN CURRAN JR. OF TROOP E IN TAMWORTH SAYS AN INVESTIGATION THAT STARTED FRIDAY MORNING (MAY 4) INDICATED DAVID C. GOODSON HAD POSSIBLY VIOLATED A CRIMINAL BAIL ORDER FROM A PREVIOUS ARREST PROHIBITING HIM FROM HAVING CONTACT WITH HIS FORMER GIRLFRIEND.

TROOPERS OBTAINED A SEARCH WARRANT AND USING A K-9 DOG LATER IN THE DAY FRIDAY DISCOVERED THE FORMER GIRLFRIEND – IDENTIFIED AS 58-YEAR-OLD YVONNE STAPLES OF 372 TURKEY STREET – ALLEGEDLY HIDING GOODSON ON THE SECOND FLOOR OF HER HOME.

MEMBERS OF THE TAMWORTH POLICE DEPARTMENT AND THE CARROLL COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE ASSISTED.

GOODSON WAS ARRESTED AND CHARGED WITH VIOLATING A BAIL ORDER AND RESISTING ARREST. HE WAS BEING HELD AT THE CARROLL COUNTY JAIL IN OSSIPEE ON $10,000 CASH BAIL.

STAPLES WAS ARRESTED AND CHARGED WITH HINDERING APPREHENSION. SHE WAS THEN RELEASED ON $3,000 PERSONAL RECOGNIZANCE BAIL.
