NO INJURIES AFTER APT. BUILDING FIRE IN BRIDGTON

THE BRIDGTON (MAINE) FIRE CHIEF SAYS NO ONE WAS HURT TUESDAY AFTERNOON AFTER A SMALL FIRE BROKE OUT IN AN APARTMENT COMPLEX ON OAK STREET.

GLEN GARLAND SAYS FIREFIGHTERS RESPONDED TO 17 OAK STREET SHORTLY AFTER 2:15 (P.M.) AFTER A REPORT OF A STRUCTURE FIRE AND FOUND LIGHT SMOKE IN ONE OF FIVE APARTMENTS.

FIREFIGHTERS USED AN EXTINGUISHER TO PUT OUT A FIRE IN THE WALL BEHIND A KITCHEN AREA GAS RANGE, LEAVING PART OF THE WALL DAMAGED AND SOME MINOR SMOKE DAMAGE.

FIREFIGHTERS FROM HARRISON AND NAPLES ASSISTED. GARLAND SAYS THE CAUSE OF THE FIREFIGHTERS CLEARED THE SCENE SHORTLY BEFORE 3:15 P.M.
