NO INJURIES IN NORTH CONWAY CONDO FIRE

NORTH CONWAY FIRE CHIEF PAT PREECE SAYS NO ONE WAS HURT SUNDAY NIGHT AFTER A FIRE BROKE OUT IN A SECOND FLOOR CONDO NEAR SETTLERS GREEN OUTLET VILLAGE.

CONWAY POLICE AND NORTH CONWAY FIREFIGHTERS RESPONDED AT 6:30 P.M. TO A COMPLEX AT 95 COMMON COURT AFTER A TENANT IN ONE OF THE UNITS SMELLED SMOKE AND SAW FIRE ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE BUILDING.

A FIRST ALARM WAS DECLARED THAT BROUGHT FIREFIGHTERS FROM CONWAY AND REDSTONE AND MORE AMBULANCES. BARTLETT FIREFIGHTERS COVERED THE STATION HOUSE.

ABOUT A DOZEN PEOPLE WERE EVACUATED AT THE SCENE. THE FIRE WAS REPORTED KNOCKED DOWN JUST BEFORE 7 P.M.

PREECE SAYS THE CAUSE OF THE FIRE IS NOT CONSIDERED SUSPICIOUS.

HE WAS BACK AT THE SCENE MONDAY MORNING CONTINUING HIS INVESTIGATION WITH THE STATE FIRE MARSHAL’S OFFICE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE.
