by Christian Mower on November 2, 2011

THE MET COFFEE HOUSE IN NORTH CONWAY VILLAGE HAS BEEN SOLD AND THE FORMER OWNERS SAY THEY’LL NOW CONCENTRATE ON THEIR VENTURE CALLED MET COFFEE ROASTERS, A BUSINESS HOWARD STANTEN AND ERIN WRIGHT OPENED IN JULY, 2010.

STANTEN – WHO OWNED THE COFFEE HOUSE WITH WRIGHT SINCE EARLY 2003 – SAYS IT HAS BEEN SOLD TO LORY, MAX AND ELISA ARIETTI – WHO HAVE RELOCATED TO THE VALLEY FROM ITALY.

STANTEN SAYS “WE HAVE BEEN BLESSED AND ARE GRATEFUL TO HAVE HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO BUILD A BUSINESS THAT HAS BECOME SUCH A SUCCESSFUL AND INTEGRAL PART OF OUR COMMUNITY.”

STANTEN SAYS THE NEW OWNERS RECOGNIZE HOW SPECIAL, DEDICATED AND SKILLED THE STAFF IS AND PLAN TO KEEP THEM ALL ON BOARD.

MIKE KLINE – WHO OWNS THE ART GALLERY AT THE MET WITH SAL MARTINETTI – SAYS HE’S GLAD TO HEAR THE NEW OWNERS PLAN TO KEEP OPERATING AT THE MET WITH THE SAME GENERAL MODEL, INCLUDING KEEPING THE ART GALLERY INTACT.
