OCCUPY WALL ST. RALLY IN CONWAY

A SPOKESMAN FOR THE WORLD FELLOWSHIP CENTER SAYS LOCAL CITIZENS WILL GATHER IN CONWAY TUESDAY EVENING TO SHOW SUPPORT FOR THE OCCUPY WALL STREET MOVEMENT.

ANDY DAVIS OF ALBANY SAYS THE RALLY WILL TAKE PLACE FROM 5 P.M. TO 6 P.M. AT THE INTERSECTION OF ROUTES 16 AND 153 IN CONWAY VILLAGE.

DAVIS – A MEMBER OF AN INFORMAL GROUP ORGANIZING THE RALLY – EMPHASIZES THE SPIRIT OF IT IS MEANT TO BE PEACEFUL AND INCLUSIVE. HE SAYS “SOMEBODY ONCE COMPARED DEMOCRACY TO A HORSE – IT ONLY STAYS HEALTHY IF YOU EXERCISE IT REGULARLY.”

DAVIS ENCOURAGES PEOPLE TO BRING A FRIEND AND A SIGN – OR MAKE A SIGN AT THE RALLY.

DAVIS SAYS THE OCCUPY NEW HAMPSHIRE WEBSITE SAYS “THE MOVEMENT IS INSPIRED BY POPULAR UPRISINGS IN EGYPT AND TUNISIA, AND AIMS TO EXPOSE HOW THE RICHEST ONE PERCENT OF PEOPLE ARE WRITING THE RULES OF AN UNFAIR GLOBAL ECONOMY THAT IS FORECLOSING ON OUR FUTURE.”
