OSSIPEE POLICE FIND MISSING TAMWORTH MAN

OSSIPEE POLICE SAY A MISSING TAMWORTH MAN WAS TAKEN TO A HOSPITAL TO BE CHECKED OUT TUESDAY AFTERNOON AFTER HE WAS FOUND BY AN OFFICER ON ROUTE 16 ABOUT A HALF MILE FROM A CAMPGROUND IN OSSIPEE WHERE HE WAS LAST SEEN LATE TUESDAY MORNING.

LT. JIMMY ELDRIDGE SAYS OFFICERS USED SEVERAL K-9 TEAMS TO TRY AND FIND 69-YEAR-OLD EDWARD PARKS – WHO ALSO GOES BY THE NAME LEE – AFTER HE WAS LAST SEEN WALKING AWAY FROM A CAMPGROUND NEAR GRANITE ROAD WHERE HE HAD BEEN STAYING WITH HIS WIFE.

ELDRIDGE SAYS PARKS SUFFERS FROM MILD DEMENTIA AND MAY NOT HAVE REMEMBERED WHERE HE WAS.

OSSIPEE UNITS STARTED ACTIVELY SEARCHING FOR PARKS ABOUT NOON TUESDAY AND ELDRIDGE SAYS NEW HAMPSHIRE FISH AND GAME OFFICERS HAD JOINED THE SEARCH.
