Police in Ossipee say a resident of Jude Blvd. is believed to be in stable condition at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center after he was shot at least once Sunday night.
(The Conway Daily Sun identifies the victim as John Mason of 2 Jude Blvd.)
Detective Sgt. Bob King declined Monday to release the identity of the victim or his age but says officers responded to the residence around 9 p.m. Sunday after the man reported he had been shot.
King says responding officers found the victim had suffered a gunshot wound and he was quickly packaged by North Conway Ambulance personnel and initially taken to Huggins Hospital in Wolfeboro, before being transferred to Dartmouth.
The victim’s house off Route 16 is being treated as a crime scene and police are processing evidence there. King says he has no information about a motive or a possible suspect.
New Hampshire State Police, the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office and police from Freedom and Tuftonboro also assisted.
