OUTAGES REPORTED AFTER WINDS

SEVERAL THOUSAND ELECTRIC CUSTOMERS WERE REPORTED WITHOUT POWER MONDAY MORNING AFTER STRONG WINDS SUNDAY AND OVERNIGHT BROUGHT DOWN POWER LINES IN NEW HAMPSHIRE AND MAINE.

PUBLIC SERVICE COMPANY OF NEW HAMPSHIRE REPORTS JUST UNDER 5,000 CUSTOMERS WITHOUT POWER MONDAY MORNING IN SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE.

NEW HAMPSHIRE ELECTRIC CO-OP REPORTED JUST MORE THAN 1,800 CUSTOMERS WERE WITHOUT POWER SOUTH OF CARROLL COUNTY, MAINLY EAST OF LACONIA.

IN MAINE, CENTRAL MAINE POWER COMPANY REPORTED JUST MORE THAN 7,600 CUSTOMERS WERE WITHOUT POWER, NEARLY 2,000 OF THEM IN OXFORD COUNTY – ABOUT 70 OF THEM IN FRYEBURG – AND JUST MORE THAN 200 CUSTOMERS IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY.

A CMP SPOKESPERSON SAID IT MIGHT BE TUESDAY MORNING BEFORE POWER IS RESTORED TO CUSTOMERS IN REMOTE AREAS.
