THE NON-PROFIT VOLUNTARY ASSOCIATION OF 30 COMMUNITIES THAT INCLUDES 8 TOWNS IN CARROLL COUNTY IS HOLDING PUBLIC MEETINGS FOR IDEAS TO UPDATE ITS REGIONAL BICYCLE AND PEDESTRIAN PLAN.

ERIC SENECAL – A REGIONAL PLANNER WITH THE LAKES REGION PLANNING COMMISSION IN MEREDITH – SAYS THE COMMISSION WANTS TO KNOW THE PRIORITY NEEDS OF PEOPLE WHO BIKE AND WALK IN THE REGION – PARTICULARLY RELATED TO ACCESS AND SAFETY – AND WHAT’S NEEDED TO BETTER SUPPORT THEM.

SENECAL ATTENDED A MEETING THURSDAY IN WOLFEBORO AND WILL BE AT ANOTHER MEETING TUESDAY AT 6 P.M. AT THE TAMWORTH PUBLIC LIBRARY.

OTHER CARROLL COUNTY TOWNS SERVED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION INCLUDE EFFINGHAM, FREEDOM, MOULTONBOROUGH, OSSIPEE, SANDWICH AND TUFTONBORO.

THE PUBLIC IS INVITED TO TAKE AN ONLINE SURVEY ABOUT THE PLAN ON THE COMMISSION’S WEBSITE AT www.lakesrpc.org.

PUBLIC FEEDBACK WILL BE USED TO UPDATE THE CURRENT PLAN THAT DATES FROM 2006.
