REDSTONE CRASH SENDS TWO TO HOSPITAL

THE CONWAY POLICE DEPARTMENT LOG INDICATES AT LEAST TWO PEOPLE WERE TAKEN TO MEMORIAL HOSPITAL IN NORTH CONWAY THURSDAY AFTERNOON AFTER A CAR CRASHED INTO A UTILITY POLE ON EAST CONWAY RD. IN REDSTONE.

CONWAY POLICE AND FIREFIGHTERS AND RESCUE PERSONNEL FROM NORTH CONWAY, REDSTONE, EAST CONWAY AND CONWAY RESPONDED TO 1475 EAST CONWAY RD. JUST BEFORE 2:30 P.M. A POLICE OFFICER AT THE SCENE SAID THREE PEOPLE SUFFERED MINOR CUTS AND SCRAPES, WITH ONE COMPLAINING OF A SEAT BELT INJURY.

THE IMPACT OF THE 2001 CHEVY 4-DOOR IMPALA – BEING DRIVEN BY SARAH HARRIMAN OF LEACH RD .IN FRYEBURG, MAINE – BROUGHT WIRES DOWN AND CAUSED THE POLE TO CATCH ON FIRE.

RESPONDERS CLOSED EAST CONWAY RD. IN THE VICINITY OF THE CRASH JUST AFTER 2:45 P.M. AND POWER, CABLE AND PHONE COMPANIES WERE NOTIFIED TO MAKE REPAIRS.

THE CAR WAS TOWED FROM THE SCENE.

THE ROAD WAS REPORTED TO BE BACK OPEN SHORTLY AFTER 10:30 P.M. THURSDAY.
