SOME REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES WILL STUMP SATURDAY BEFORE APPEARING IN A LIVE TELEVISED DEBATE TONIGHT FROM MANCHESTER.

FORMER U.S. HOUSE SPEAKER NEWT GINGRICH WILL HOLD A VETERANS TOWN HALL MEETING IN WOLFEBORO AT 11 A.M. THE MEETING WILL BE HELD AT THE WRIGHT MUSEUM AT 77 CENTER STREET.

FORMER MASSACHUSETTS GOV. MITT ROMNEY WILL APPEAR IN ROCHESTER LATE SATURDAY MORNING WITH FORMER MINNESOTA GOV. TIM PAWLENTY. ROMNEY IS SCHEDULED TO APPEAR AT 11:45 A.M. AT THE ROCHESTER OPERA HOUSE AT 31 WAKEFIELD STREET.

MEANWHILE, FORMER U.S. SEN. FROM PENNSYLVANIA AND GOP PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE RICK SANTORUM SAYS SOCIAL SECURITY BENEFITS SHOULD BE REDUCED IMMEDIATELY RATHER THAN ON A DELAYED BASIS.

SANTORUM SAYS HE’S BEING COURAGEOUS AND HONEST BY TELLING AMERICANS THEY CAN’T AFFORD TO WAIT TO REIN IN SOCIAL SECURITY’S GROWING COSTS BECAUSE OF THE FEDERAL DEBT CRISIS.

HE SAYS THE ELIGIBILITY AGE FOR SOCIAL SECURITY SHOULD BE RAISED AND BENEFITS SHOULD BE TRIMMED FOR UPPER INCOME RETIREES.
