Scarlet Begonias Radio 7-24-10

This week we get to hear a newly created matrix recording of The Grateful Dead at the Jai-Alai Fronton in Miami in June of 1974. We’ve been to Fronton before on Scarlet Begonias Radio,  it’s among the famous Betty Board soundboard reels. This time, though, we’re going to listen to a mixdown, or “matrix” of a recording made from the audience and one made from the soundboard. This was the era of the Wall Of Sound, so getting to hear a bit of what it sounded like from the crowd is an extra bonus. Here’s the playlist:
