Merry Christmas! For the first time in the 15 year history of Scarlet Begonias Radio, we are airing on December 25th. Over the years I’ve attempted to do a few holiday Grateful Dead shows, but really you can play all of the overtly Christmas Grateful Dead music in about half an hour. This week we finish Charlie Miller’s 10-10-82 remaster, and move on the the latest in the Road Trips series, “Volume 4 Number 1: Big Rock Pow-Wow ’69“. It includes two especially psychedelic performances recorded at the Seminole Indian Reservation in Hollywood, Florida, in May of 1969, with the band at it’s primal best, and Woodstock still 3 months away.
