SCHOOL PARENTS NOTIFIED AFTER GUNSHOT IN C. OSSIPEE

A SCHOOL IN CENTER OSSIPEE IS SENDING OUT A RECORDED MESSAGE TO PARENTS THAT A GUN DISCHARGED WEDNESDAY MORNING AT THE OSSIPEE TOWN HALL.

THE PHONE MESSAGE FROM THE OSSIPEE CENTRAL SCHOOL SAYS NO ONE FROM THE SCHOOL WAS INVOLVED AND THE SCHOOL WAS SECURED AS USUAL WEDNESDAY MORNING.

WWW.WMUR.COM REPORTS OSSIPEE TOWN OFFICIALS SAY IT APPEARS A MAN IN HIS 40s WHO IS NOT FROM OSSIPEE ATTEMPTED SUICIDE WHILE PARKED IN A CAR IN THE TOWN HALL PARKING LOT WEDNESDAY MORNING – AND HE WAS TAKEN TO A TRAUMA CENTER BY HELICOPTER WITH A GUNSHOT WOUND.

TOWN OFFICIALS WE TALKED TO REFUSED TO COMMENT ON THE SITUATION AND REFERRED US TO OSSIPEE POLICE FOR INFORMATION.

AS OF 2:30 P.M. WEDNESDAY, OSSIPEE POLICE HAD NOT RETURNED A PHONE CALL REQUESTING COMMENT.
