SEARCH CONTINUES FOR MISSING WOMAN

A SPOKESPERSON FOR THE NEW HAMPSHIRE FISH AND GAME DEPARTMENT SAYS A MULTI-AGENCY SEARCH CONTINUED TUESDAY FOR AN 18-YEAR-OLD WOMAN, TWO DAYS AFTER SHE WALKED AWAY FROM LAKEVIEW NEUROLOGICAL REHABILITATION CENTER IN EFFINGHAM SUNDAY AFTERNOON.

CONSERVATION OFFICER MIKE MATSON IDENTIFIES THE MISSING WOMAN AS “JOELLE” AND SAYS SHE WALKED AWAY FROM THE CENTER ON HIGH WATCH RD. ABOUT 2 P.M. SUNDAY WEARING NOTHING BUT PINK SOCKS AND BLUE PAJAMAS.

FIREFIGHTERS FROM EFFINGHAM, FREEDOM, OSSIPEE, EFFINGHAM POLICE, LAKEVIEW PERSONNEL, NEW HAMPSHIRE STATE POLICE, THE CIVIL AIR PATROL AND VOLUNTEERS JOINED CONSERVATION OFFICERS SEARCHING IN MOUNTAINOUS DENSE FOREST WITH A LOT OF LAKES.

MATSON SAYS AS MANY AS 60 PEOPLE WERE LOOKING FOR JOELLE MONDAY. HE SAYS TEMPERATURES WERE MILD OVERNIGHT SUNDAY.
