by Gair on July 3, 2013

U.S. SENATOR JEANNE SHAHEEN OF NEW HAMPSHIRE WILL MAKE STOPS IN THE VALLEY AND THE NORTH COUNTRY WEDNESDAY.

SHE’S SCHEDULED TO VISIT CONWAY PINES, THE NEW 32 UNIT AFFORDABLE HOUSING COMPLEX OFF ROUTE 16 IN CONWAY AT 11 A.M., WHERE SHE’LL BE BRIEFED ON THE USE OF ENERGY EFFICIENT GEOTHERMAL HEATING AND COOLING SYSTEMS AT THE COMPLEX. THEY FIT IN WITH HER BIPARTISAN ENERGY EFFICIENCY LEGISLATION CALLED THE “ENERGY SAVINGS AND INDUSTRIAL COMPETITIVENESS ACT.”

SHAHEEN SAYS HER BILL WILL HELP PEOPLE IN NEW HAMPSHIRE AND ACROSS THE U.S. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF ENERGY EFFICIENT UPGRADES LIKE THE ONES FEATURED AT CONWAY PINES THAT REDUCE ENERGY CONSUMPTION, LOWER EMISSIONS AND CREATE JOBS.

FROM CONWAY, THE FORMER NEW HAMPSHIRE GOVERNOR WILL TRAVEL TO BERLIN FOR A RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY AT 2:45 P.M. THAT WILL CELEBRATE NEW HIGH EFFICIENCY WOOD PELLET BOILERS INSTALLED BY THE BERLIN HOUSING AUTHORITY.
