Skier Seriously injured On Cranmore Mountain

North Conway, NH – A young Skier was seriously hurt at Cranmore Mountain Resort Wednesday. According to Officials with Cranmore Mountain resort Ski Patrol responded to a report of a skier injury off the Arlberg ski trail at approximately 3:00 p.m.

The skier, who according to unconfirmed reports is 13, collided with a tree off the intermediate level trail. Ski Patrol evacuated him down the mountain to an ambulance for transport to Memorial Hospital. Officials said the skier was wearing a helmet. The Conway Daily Sun is reporting that the skier was transported by helicopter to Maine Medical at around 5pm Wednesday.

The incident is currently under investigation and Cranmore has not received confirmation of the skier’s status.

Cranmore President & GM, Ben Wilcox said in a statement “Our thoughts and prayers go out to the injured party and family members”
