TIME WARNER CABLE IS INVESTIGATING WHAT CAUSED CUSTOMERS THROUGHOUT NEW ENGLAND TO LOSE INTERNET ACCESS AND DIGITAL PHONE SERVICE FOR ABOUT AN HOUR WEDNESDAY MORNING.

LOSS OF SERVICE WAS REPORTED IN NORTH CONWAY SHORTLY BEFORE 8:30 A.M. AND SERVICE WAS RESTORED SHORTLY AFTER 9:30 A.M. WEDNESDAY.

CABLE TV SERVICE WAS NOT AFFECTED.

TIME WARNER SPOKESMAN ANDREW RUSSELL SAYS ENGINEERS ARE INVESTIGATING WHAT WENT WRONG.

HE DECLINES TO INDICATE HOW MANY CUSTOMERS WERE AFFECTED, CALLING IT PROPRIETARY INFORMATION.
