Tri County CAP needs drivers

by Gair on March 27, 2014

The transportation director for the non-profit multi-service agency that provides transportation and other services to Carroll, Coos and Grafton Counties says volunteers are needed for the Long Distance Medical Transportation Program.

Beverly Raymond of Tri County Community Action Program says drivers are needed who can use their personal vehicles to pick up passengers at their homes or some other place and then drive them to their destination and back. The trips may be local – or long distance, to places like Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center or Catholic Medical Center.

Volunteers are reimbursed for mileage at the rate of 55 cents per mile.

Raymond says it’s an important service and by volunteering to do it, you can help make a difference in the lives of people.

For more information or to volunteer, call Tri County Cap at (603) 752-1741.
