TRI COUNTY CAP NEGOTIATING RIDES

by Christian Mower on December 5, 2013

THE HEAD OF THE BLUE LOON BUS SERVICE SAYS NEGOTIATIONS ARE ONGOING TO CONTINUE TO PROVIDE PASSENGERS COVERED UNDER MEDICAID THE ABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

BEVERLY RAYMOND IS DIRECTOR OF TRANSPORTATION FOR TRI COUNTY COMMUNITY ACTION PROGRAM THAT SERVES PASSENGERS IN CARROLL, COE-OS AND GRAFTON COUNTIES THROUGH BLUE LOON TRANSIT AND NORTH COUNTRY TRANSIT.

SHE SAYS SHE KNOWS PASSENGERS MAY BE WORRIED, BUT HER ORGANIZATION IS TALKING TO NEW HAMPSHIRE HEALTHY FAMILIES AND THE MERIDIAN AND WELL SENSE HEALTH PLANS TO CONTINUE TO ALLOW MEDICAID PASSENGERS TO RIDE.

SHE RECOMMENDS CALLING YOUR PROVIDER TO DISCUSS YOUR TRANSPORTATION NEEDS AND IF TRI COUNTY CAP HAS BEEN YOUR PROVIDER, YOU CAN REQUEST THE SERVICE CONTINUE WITH IT.

PASSENGERS WHO HAVE OPTED OUT FOR A YEAR – OR HAVE A REGULAR SPEND DOWN – BUT ARE STILL ON REGULAR MEDICAID TRANSPORTATION, SHOULD CONTINUE TO FOLLOW THE NORMAL PROCESS OF SCHEDULING TRIPS DIRECTLY WITH TRI COUNTY CAP TRANSIT.
