TWO HOSPITALIZED AFTER TAMWORTH PICKUP CRASH

NEW HAMPSHIRE STATE POLICE SAY TWO PEOPLE WERE SERIOUSLY INJURED TUESDAY NIGHT IN TAMWORTH AFTER A PICKUP TRUCK CRASHED ON DEPOT ROAD.

IT HAPPENED ABOUT 8:25 P.M.

TROOPER JIM FOGARTY OF TROOP E IN TAMWORTH SAYS THE DRIVER LOST CONTROL WHILE WESTBOUND AND HIT SEVERAL TREES, TRAPPING THE DRIVER AND A PASSENGER INSIDE THE TRUCK.

FIRE DEPARTMENTS FROM TAMWORTH AND WEST OSSIPEE RESPONDED AND FREED BOTH OCCUPANTS.

BOTH VICTIMS WERE EVENTUALLY FLOWN BY HELICOPTER TO DARTMOUTH HITCHCOCK MEDICAL CENTER.

POLICE ARE WITHHOLDING THE VICTIMS’ IDENTITIES UNTIL FAMILY MEMBERS ARE NOTIFIED.

SPEED AND ALCOHOL ARE BEING INVESTIGATED AS POSSIBLE CONTRIBUTING FACTORS.
