A POPULAR RUNNING CLUB IN THE MOUNT WASHINGTON VALLEY THAT HAS TIES TO FAMILY MEMBERS OF ABIGAIL HERNANDEZ – THE 15-YEAR-OLD NORTH CONWAY TEENAGER WHO HAS BEEN MISSING SINCE LEAVING KENNETT HIGH SCHOOL OCT. 9 2013 – IS ORGANIZING A PUBLIC VIGIL FOR ABIGAIL SATURDAY NIGHT IN NORTH CONWAY’S SCHOULER PARK.

PAUL KIRSCH, PRESIDENT OF THE WHITE MOUNTAIN MILERS, SAYS AIGAIL’S MOTHER ZENYA HERNANDEZ AND HER OLDER SISTER SARAH HERNANDEZ, HAVE BEEN ACTIVE RUNNERS AND VOLUNTEERS WITH THE CLUB.

KIRSCH SAYS LIKE OTHER MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY, HIS CLUB WANTS TO SUPPORT “ONE OF ITS OWN.” HE SAYS THE THEME OF SATURDAY’S VIGIL IS “LIGHT THE WAY HOME FOR ABBY.”

MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC ARE INVITED TO BRING FLASHLIGHTS AND GATHER NEAR THE BIG TENT AT SCHOULER PARK SATURDAY AT 6:30 P.M. AFTER A FEW SPEAKERS, ATTENDEES WILL BE INVITED TO TURN ON THEIR FLASHLIGHTS AND TAKE A SHORT WALK NEAR THE PARK.

THE MILERS HAVE SET UP A WEBSITE FOR DONATIONS TO SUPPORT ABIGAIL’S FAMILY.

FBI SPECIAL AGENT-IN-CHARGE IN CONWAY KIERAN RAMSEY SAID TUESDAY THERE WERE NO SIGNIFICANT DEVELOPMENTS IN THE CASE AUTHORITIES STILL REFER TO AS A “MISSING PERSONS” CASE.

ANYONE WITH INFORMATION ABOUT ABIGAIL HERNANDEZ IS ASKED TO CALL THE TOLL-FREE FBI TIPLINE AT 1-800-CALL-FBI OR CONWAY POLICE AT (603) 356-5715.
