WALKERS RAISE MONEY FOR SHELTER

MORE THAN 100 WALKERS AND THEIR PETS TURNED OUT SATURDAY IN NORTH CONWAY FOR THE 16THANNUAL WALK FOR THE ANIMALS THROUGH WHITAKER WOODS – AND MANY MORE ENJOYED VISITING THE BARK IN THE PARK EXPO AT SCHOULER PARK.

CONNIE HARGER – EVENTS MANAGER AND VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR AT THE CONWAY AREA HUMANE SOCIETY – SAYS ALL PROCEEDS BENEFIT THE ANIMALS AT THE SHELTER, AND MORE THAN $23,000 WAS RAISED.

TOP INDIVIDUAL FUNDRAISERS WERE ALY McALLISTER, STACY SAND AND SANDY KURTZ.

TOP TEAM FINISHERS INCLUDED FRIENDS OF FURRIES, FOUR YOUR PAWS ONLY AND PAWS FOR A CAUSE.

HARGER SAYS SCHOULER PARK WAS DECORATED WITH GIANT BLUE AND ORANGE BALLOONS, VENDORS SET UP TENTS AND VOLUNTEERS ORGANIZED GAMES AND AGILITY EQUIPMENT THAT PROVIDED THE ANIMALS WITH β€œAN INCREDIBLE AND LOVELY DAY.”
