WOLFEBORO HOME DESTROYED IN FIRE

A FIRE CHIEF IN WOLFEBORO SAYS A MUDDY ROAD SEVERELY LIMITED ACCESS TO A HOME FIRE TUESDAY AFTERNOON IN WOLFEBORO.

DEP. CHIEF TOM ZOTTI SAYS FIREFIGHTERS RESPONDED TO A HOUSE THAT WAS REPORTED BURNING ON YORK RD. SHORTLY BEFORE 3:30 P.M. AND FOUND THE HOME COMPLETELY DESTROYED.

THE HOMEOWNER TOLD FIREFIGHTERS HE HAD LEFT THE HOME TUESDAY MORNING AND RETURNED TO FIND IT HAD BURNED DOWN.

NO ONE WAS HURT. THE CAUSE OF THE FIRE IS BEING INVESTIGATED.

FIREFIGHTERS CLEARED THE SCENE SHORTLY AFTER 5:30 P.M. TUESDAY.

TUFTONBORO FIREFIGHTERS, STEWARTS AMBULANCE AND THE WOLFEBORO PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT ASSISTED.
