Listening to you all the way from Mt. Uniacke, Nova Scotia on this beautiful Sunday afternoon. Cannot wait to be back in New Hampshire in 3 weeks
So happy to hear Roy Prescott is back! He and Gair make a great morning team. Rock on!
Just returned from California, where I installed shortcuts to the WMWV stream on my sister’s and a friend’s desktops.
And, yes, that was the sole reason I visited (wink)!
So happy to hear Roy Prescott back on the radio each morning. Gair is great and it’s nice to hear him as well. But it’s nice to have “the band back together!”
Hi there! I heard Gair Mackenzie play a song by Dawes 3 or 4 days ago that sounded kinda funky( I loved it!) and doesn’t appear to be on their new release Nothing or their CD from 2009. Was that a song created for a soundtrack or something? Any info would be appreciated! Thanks!
Hi Matt, I believe the song you are referring to is “From a Window Seat” off the new Dawes CD “Stories Don’t End” that’s due out April 9, 2013. Thanks for listening! Gair MacKenzie
Hi – Saturday afternoon I heard a version of Elton John’s The Border or Holy Moses. It was sung by a woman. Can you tell me who that was? Love your station.
Thanks!
Jane
You played a version of ‘Shakin All Overr’ with a sleepy female vocalist a few days back- who was it?? Totally rocked my socks.
Hi Heather, The artist you heard is Eilen Jewell and the song is on her CD Sea of Tears. Hope you were able to keep your socks on! Thanks for listening, Gair MacKenzie
Cool…Nanci Griffith does a great cover of “Lonesome when you go.” Tells a great anecdote about sending it to Bob for his approval, he sent it back surprised she recorded it without his permission…and without his harmonica track, which he added to the recording. Sweet.
Wow Frank Zappa on daytime fm!!!
Is there a way to stream WMWV on an iPad? Do you have an app for that? Is the morning weather show recorded for later listening?
Hi Walter-
We stream through TuneIn Radio. Once the app is downloaded you can do a search for WMWV and once found, tap to play. You can add us to your favorites list for easy retrieval.
Thanks for listening Walter!

Do you have a calender of events, or a bulletin board. The Burnt Meadow Snowmobile Club is holding it’s annual poker rally and I am looking for places to promote the event.
Hi Colin,
If you’re a non-profit organization, call in and ask for your event to be put on the talk of the towns listing on WMWV.
I listened to MWV (BNC) faithfully while growing up here. (My mother sold ads for the station back in the ’60′s). I’ve recently started tuning you in again & enjoy the music. Loved the Blend-a-thon last week. I keep expecting to hear Jesse Winchester’s Rhumba Man, can I make that a request? Maybe a little Roxy Music, too? Keep up the good work!!
Thanks for intelligent obscure music. I no longer search the dial.
Hey Steve,
Thanks for your comment. When I moved here in 2000 I knew I was in the right place because of WMWV. The people working here and what they do for our community are just as great as the music too!
Crank it up!

I know you provide your top 30 songs to either BDS Radio Charts or Mediabase 24/7 each week. As a listener, it would be great if you could either link to that info on their website or copy it on your own. It’s a good reference as to what new music you are playing and what it being played the most. Thanks for all you do and for being such a great radio station!
Just spent a week on Conway Lake. I have been going there since 1972 but this is the first time I have been there in October. One of the first things I did was turn on the radio to 93.5. I have to say you guys do an exceptional job of playing music that is very easy to listen to. I have traveled all over the country and have listened to many other good stations but for some reason you don’t play any ‘clunkers’. Along with the exceptional New England fall folliage, your music was instrumental in having a very relaxing week. Keep up the good work. I do listen on line sporadically. I thing Briggs Bunker is a hoot!
Who’s Briggs Bunker’s favorite rapper? 50 cent, of course.
My complements the best radio / station I know. Do you publish your show’s playlists? This am around 10:30 to 11:30 was just what the Dr ordered. Who was the artist album with the song “blessed”. Thanks.
Hi Larry,
Thanks for the compliment… we love what we do and we’re glad it shows! Our online player found on the right hand side on the top of the home page, shows our playlist for the last few hours of songs on air.
I am happy you are playing more Grace Potter and the Nocturnals! How about track #5 “Timekeeper” on The Lion, The Beast, The Beat? In my humble opinion, it’s the best track on the release!
Loved Abby Miller’s song, so refreshing to hear and beautiful lyrics. Good luck to you Abby!
Hello! Yet another “I heard a song and can’t remember the name of it” request….
Around 6:30 this evening, Mon. 9-17, you played a little ditty with words on the order of – a fool like you – (in the chorus line) or always love a fool like you, er something like that. Any idea what song that may have been?
Oh i found your playlist which is great, but it appears to show the last hour or so of songs played and it now several hours later.
Thank you and I think you guys do a great job!
I love your music and vibe! I have heard a song a couple times on wmwv but can’t remember the name, and I want to tell a friend about it: folksy, male singer: something about having time on hands, you on my mind? If it rings any bells, I would be delighted if you would let me know! Thanks and keep it coming:)
A playlist… Totally awesome WMWV. You guys have done it very, very well again!!!
It just keeps getting better & better!!
Hello! My family and I visited New Hampshire at the beginning of the week. Yeaterday i heard a song in a shop in North Conway that i loved. It was a female singer and she talked about Woolworth before she started actually singing, it was aboit 12:30 pm when i heard it. I was wondering if you could tell me the name of the song. I spent the whole ride home trying to find it. You have a great station!Linda, Coventry R.I.
I love that song too. It’s “Love at the Five and Dime” by Nanci Griffith. It really evokes that Americana, old time essence.
I have always loved WMWV, not just the Music, but EVERYTHING! So many times I hear something and it wears me out trying to find it again…. I look for a playlist but never find one to find what is in my head.
Today I want the song I heard this morning to send to a friend who I am missing.
So who did that song?
“Can you feel it?” (sending my love to you)
Thanks for everything you do here in our Great state, WMWV is the Best!
Linda
Hi Linda,
The song you are looking for is called Can you Feel it by a group called the Gaddabouts. The CD is called Look Out Now. The group includes Edie Brickell and noted session drummer Steve Gadd, who has drummed behind Brickells’s husband Paul Simon for years. Brickell has also released some solo CDs, some with her former group the New Bohemians and even one with one of Simon’s sons.
Glad you are enjoying the music and thanks for listening!
Gair MacKenzie
Linda:
Thanks for your listenership!
Additionally, you can now go online to our website and click on the “Listen Live” button in the top right of the page…from here you’ll be conneceted to our on-line player and, voila, our playlist!
Cheers!

LOST: A PAIR OF PRESCRIPTION GLASSES ON FRIDAY MAY 18; ROUND TORTISE BROWN EYEGLASSES… VICINITY OF NORTH CONWAY . PLEASE CALL 986-1080 IF FOUND. THANK YOU.
Greetings,
Over the years I have enjoyed WMWV while occasionally working in the area. I live on the other side of the Kanc in scenic Campton. I was never able to receive your signal until now.
WMWV is even better than it used to be. Bravo!
Sometimes it almost seems like you have real live human beings working in the station and playing music willy nilly. How do you do it? It seems like you are actually independent!
I love it,
Infidel
Re: Lost & Found
Found: 1 large grey & white male cat from the Wildwood neighborhood in Albany. I have asked neighbors but to no avail. I know he lives in the neighborhood, but now that it’s Winter, he won’t leave! He has no collar, but he is well fed and has a wonderful personality. If no one claims him I’m keeping him he’s so nice!
